THESIS #3: Grocery Rush
This was my final thesis were I get to be the designer AND the programmer at the same time. I was very inspired doing this as I know that we are the first ones to get to create a time-based casual game like Diner Dash, Burger Dash. All Designs were originally made by me, as I thought that it would get us points for using originally crafted designs.
The Game?
The game's idea of being in a grocery store was originally thought by my Mother, At first I wanted to have something that would be different from the other time-based game, as I know that most of it were focused on food: Diner Dash, Burger Island, Burger Dash etc. When me and my Mother was doing grocery, my Mother suddenly suggested, why not do something in a grocery, the only difference is that, you would only have one cashier (supposed to be the player) but your grocery would have 3 cashiers/counters that the player must handle. I suggested that to my group's leader (we were only 3 that time - 1 as group leader/documents person, another for researching and other errands outside school, and lastly a designer and coder) Our group's leader happily accepted the suggestion and it was approved shortly after proposing it to our professor.
Trivia:
1. I did some sketched for the concept arts at first and had it scanned in a computer so I could get it vectorized in photoshop; adding some twitches.
2. We only did this game in a month, we lacked of time because we also had our OJT's that time that almost took the remaining 2 months (total of three months - trimester). So I was very pressured doing designing and coding at the same time, but it was totally worth it.
